December 3, 2004 — Kore Technologies released
a new version of
webTeam that provides many new
features and strengthens the product's collaboration
capabilities. webTeam is a collaborative software
solution that
enables teams to be more effective and productive by
empowering them to work together on requests,
projects, documents, and more. Making its debut in
October during the Epicor Perspectives Conference in
Las Vegas, Nevada, the latest release of webTeam has
generated a lot of interest with its new features,
ease of use, and affordability. “The new
release of webTeam adds key capabilities that our
clients are looking for such as request forms
management, document workflow, electronic approvals,
and document sharing using Microsoft's WebDAV
technology,”
said Keith Lambert, vice president of marketing and
business development for Kore Technologies. “When
you add the other new features such as discussion
forums, announcements, and workgroup portals,
webTeam is now a complete collaboration solution
that is very easy to use and implement.”
webTeam is designed for team collaboration and
uses a Web-based interface to provide easy access to anyone on the team–anywhere, anytime.
Teams are able to collaborate more effectively and
efficiently because information is organized and
stored in a central repository for fast, easy, and
secure access by authorized users. Typically, people
use desktop software such as e-mail and spreadsheets
to collaborate, however these methods are geared for
personal productivity (not team productivity) and do
not offer the collaboration features found in
webTeam.
Using webTeam, teams can perform better because
communication is easier, faster, and everyone on the
team can stay “in the loop” working with information
that is always up-to-date. webTeam is built upon
KommerceServer, Kore's
advanced eCommerce framework for building flexible,
secure, and scalable Internet applications using the
Microsoft’s .NET architecture.
